My name is Angus and I make music under the name The Peach Tree.
I believe in the freedom of copyable information and encourage everyone to download my songs for free and distribute them.
For a long time I haave been surfing around on a wide variety of different style-waves, weaving them together into complete entities that always have a deep (and often dark) message. I work conceptually on an album basis but the concepts are tied together lyrically rather than by genre. This mish-mashing of styles can be off-putting to some but a delight to many. I first picked up a guitar when I was seven and my dad taught me how to play the opening chords of "Stairway To Heaven". I studied clarinet at school and picked up the guitar for some serious learning when I was about 15. Since then my passion for making music has increased exponentially, and my talent has increased too.
TV, people with a pole up their arse, Che Guevara.

Yeah the label is going well...until tonight when i realized i'd forgotten to add the releases to something called the PPL repotoire database, which i have literally just finished doing...only took me 3 hours of solid work...but i got there,,i think
Now all i want to do is collapse in a pile on my bed
Hi Bro, keep forgetting that you're on this site tooo..lol
Hope your well..was listening to one your latest tunes on NEON BEATZ last night, man your pumping out some dark twisted tunes of late, think i will play you in the EML Podcast number 5 ..hope your well catch up soon no doubt
hey there, "mind and soul" is beautifully produced. very linear but that doesn't detract from the swirling sounds that wash over and under each other. man what a great guitar sound, and that piano in the last half is gorgeous. perfectly balanced electronic bleeps and bloops and the percussion is spot on. excellent work. i doff my hat to you.
Thanks for the comment and the compliment...Me, like Syd Barret? I never would have thought that and have never been told that before. I will say this though, Barret's earlier works with Pink Floyd, Saucerful of Secrets and Piper at the Gates of Dawn period, along with his solo (Madcap LAighs) work really did ignite a desire within myself to experiemnt and explore the unusual a bit more than, well, I might have done if I had not listened to such works as Bike, Corporal Glegg, The Scarecrow, etcetera.
Anyway, as said before, sometime ago, about your own music, 'creativity/inventiveness lives on here and, as long as you, or any of us, resists the temptation to try to please a mainstream that is still asleep at the wheel, it will always be so. I say this: artist, be true to thyself and thy work and you will never put out mediocrity. This can apply to even the simplest most straightforward pop song. I don't think Syd Barret and others like him ever catered to the industry, which is what made the works worth listening to, not just at the time of release, but even now, many years later, and that, I think, is something I doubt will ever be said about much of the disposable product being promoted, by the 'big guys in suits', these days.
Once again, thakns for the comments and all the best.
dude if you deleted, as i suspect, your post re: "the gilmore experience" because of what i said than all i have to say is... well what can you say; freedom of speech out the window, head in the sand, etc... if it wasn't because of me than my apologies. anyway hope you have a good week.
HEY Dude,
My name is Tony
I always have a good week mate, as for the blog yeah I agree with freedom of speech. Though I feel that you should not have tainted the blog like you did. You should vent your anger in a more positive way. Maybe push your boundries and limitations to improve your music. Yeah I agree maybe Steve didn't give the best review in the world but hey, he gave you some credit and respect its just that you don't get it.
In the blog you said that Steve's reviews are stained with subjectivity well read on...
"Subjectivity may refer to the specific discerning interpretations of any aspect of experiences. They are unique to the person experiencing them, the qualia that are only available to that person's consciousness. Though the causes of experience are thought to be objective and available to everyone, (such as the wavelength of a specific beam of light), experiences themselves are only available to the subject (the quality of the colour itself)".
Okay then...
in a bit geezahh!!
No grudge bared on my part but but I still think you were out of order.
