Should we re-develop POP and make it cutting edge ... subject: how about POP being developed into an iTunes type platform, with excellent forums, chatrooms, up to date games like FB, working links to FB & Twitter, and a much better reviews system, AND we change the name of POP to in4music.com?

I had been looking for a acoustic guitar to play for live performances that I could use with my Fender acoustic amp. My nice Ovation guitar has faulty electronics and I was unsuccessful to find anyone to repair it at that time so I began to look at other acoustic electric guitars.
I even declined a invitation to play a show because I had no guitar to play thru my amp.
I played many many guitars over a period of time. My preference was the over $1,000.00 price range. I had no more than $350.00 to spend....because....hahahahahahah my wife was not happy about me even thinking about another guitar.
I bought and sold a different Ovation acoustic guitar and made enough to put me up in the $500.00 range.
So now with a $500.00 limit I tried craigslist and found a few possibilities but nothing that would be right for me until I found a Taylor 214 ce guitar for $750.00. I didn`t know much about this model Taylor at the time but did some research. They were asking a fair price for the guitar.
I emailed the seller about my situation and that I was looking for a guitar to perform live with. I sent them a link to my music which I was told later when I met them that they had gone to my page and listened to my music and loved it. So this person replied to my email by saying she and her son would love for me to get the guitar.
She had bought the guitar new 3 years ago for her than 14 year old son and since he stopped taking lessons and did not play the guitar at all.
I made arrangements to go see the guitar and that`s when I met them. They asked if I would play some songs for them and I did that.
I knew they were getting other people interested in the guitar. When I left they both wanted me to have the guitar and would do so for a reduced price of $600.00. I still did not buy it at that time and said i would let them know the next day.
The next day I had not been able to get my wife to agree to buying the guitar but eventually she did.
I emailed Cathy to tell her I was going to buy the guitar. Cathy replied in email, "I am going to sell it to you for $500.00 and I will make up the difference to Thomas"
She did this knowing I did not have a budget to buy the guitar and she made it possible for me to get it. Like I said, I know they had other interested people that would have bought the guitar for the $750.00 or close to it. The guitar is worth it.
I paid $500.00 for the guitar. The Taylor 214 ce is lighter than my Ovation. My Ovation is a more solid feeling guitar where the Taylor is a more wood tone sound.
This Taylor 214 ce is the first guitar in Taylor`s line, in my opinion, of the higher end acoustic guitars that give you the Taylor quality and sound they are known for.
The next guitar up in Taylor`s line up gives you solid wood sides and back where the Taylor 214 ce is laminate on the sides and back. There will be a difference in sound between the two designs.
I think I will keep this guitar.
