TRAPPED
No more can I play my mind is empty with the
words you say
Today I realised death
Even in this state, there was no rest
With your empty head and your blank expression
It's plain to see
That we've lost our love
And we've lost our compassion
Life
It's just become a fashion
Our minds turned by the lust for the commodities
that are a must?
To have a car to own a house to have a wife to
make life
It's not enough
We progress into a dangerous space
We can now create we can reshape
Genetic structures guess the fake
The future to me seems to be a dangerous place
So many displaced so many lost so many left
behind in the technological race
to create that perfect product
To corner the market at any cost
stuff the people and their lives as long as your
boss
Sits there and Smiles
As the divide grows, the cracks begin to show
Born into poverty trapped into a life of crime
We see our young people living their lives up
sidedown
Remember when you used to play in the park
Used to stay out until it was dark
Our children have lost their learning ground
We are born of love
We are born to need
We are born with trust we are born with thought
We gain experience as we explore we look to our
elders to be taught
seasoned by time thinking hard and fast looking
into the future stepping into the past
searching for my vocation
it is hard to feel sad even though I should, I
don't
the coldness in my mind freezes the tears I want
to cry
I am trapped in a future that strives for the
past
I feel trapped in-between
Caught in a void
Time streams, possibilities, and realities
So much, we find so little do we understand what
have we begun
A place so real, yet not perfectly existing ebbs
to its own extinction
People pawn kept down from the moment you are
born
Ever thought about the effects of the things you
see
And the things that are said
