A prediction theory thats been close to my heart for at least a decade leads to this very date, and even though IҒve spent 10 years or more in fact looking into whats so damn special about December 21st 2012, IҒm still no nearer to knowing for sure what it is that awaits us on that very day, although I do have some ideas, theories, or whatever you might wish to call them, lurking in this strange brain of mine.

The information above, as pointed out by the comment left by Assassin, does make interesting reading, but it is a myriad of technical terms based on Astrology, which I hasten to add is an extremely good way of predicting many things, although to the layman, it isnŒt an easy system to understand in base terms, and therefore many people will just look at whats being said and think ґwhat the hell does that mean? and as such, the gift that astrologers hold is either lost on the masses, or as shown if anyone has ever been to one for a reading of whatever sort will know, it needs a translator to help us understand.

IҒll readily admit that Im one of the people who need that ґtranslator, even though I do dabble in tarot and the such, IҒm completely lost when it comes to interpreting anything but the basic information given in either Chinese or normalђ astrology. As a side note, I wonder if most people realise that the art of Astrologys roots are from the Middle East, although not Chinese astrology, which obviously finds its roots in..yes, youҒve guessed it..China. I wouldnt be surprised to find out that Persian astrology found its roots in Chinese astrology either, but have to admit that I havenҒt found time to check out this particular trail.

Back to 21st December 2012.

Lol.. I know some people are thinking donђt you mean forward to Gary?, but I was speaking of returning to the subject rather than the specific time, but itҒs just my strange sense of humour which led me to write it that way

Well firstly what I do know is that this particular date of prediction isnŒt exactly new! Besides the author of this article knowing about this date, along with many other astrologers of our time, I have discovered that not only my own favourite ancient peoples the Mayansђ knew of this date, but also that it seems other ancient peoples such as Hopi, Egyptians, Kabbalists, Essenes, Qero elders of Peru, Navajo, Cherokee, Apache, Iroquois confederacy, Dogon Tribe, and Aborigines all knew and have predicted some kind of huge change at this time, and I doubt that they are the only ones, by far! Doesnt the Christian Bible even speak of such things?

Even the great seer himself, Michele de Nostradame, or Nostradamus as heҒs better known, told of a time of 5 eclipses, a mixture of both solar and lunar, would spell the coming of a great catastrophe, and guess what? That time is apparently now! The years between which these eclipses happen, has been translated as between 2008, and yep2012. in fact it was about a month ago I think, that we had a Lunar Eclipse, so I wonder was this the first of his predicted Eclipses?

Of what I do know, thatŒs the Maya people, they knew of astrology long before we in the western world stole it from the Persians during the crusades. The cycle that is in question in relation to this particular subject is related to what they called Baktuns, and in this case, a cycle of 13 of them, starting on the 13th August 3114 BC. Their calendar was divided into "months" or uinals of twenty days, "years" or tuns of 360 days and longer periods of 7200 days, the katun and 144,000 days, the baktun. The number 13 was magically important to them and they believed that, starting from the Birth of Venus, after 13 of these longest periods, or baktuns, the world would come to an end. Working from their start date this Mayan Prophecy points to a date in our own time, 22nd December 2012.

Have any of you noticed the days difference? To be honest, calendars have changed more than a couple of times since 3114 BC, so I left this info as I read it myself, just to show that although we are told particular dates, we can never be sure that they are exactly right, but I assure you, theyҒll probably not be too far out whenever you see them quoted, and besides which, what Ive quoted is from text IҒve read, whereas whats written in the article above, I must presume is from properly calculated star charts, as opposed to pure mathematics. Having said that, what the Maya and other ancient civilisations calculated, was worked out using the stars as well, so forgive me or the person whose text IҒve read, for perhaps not being in conjunction with the dates already given. Having said all that, wouldnt it be fitting if the actual date were 20th December 2012? IҒll leave you to ponder why I say that.

Ok, so what else have I found out in those 10 years?

Well, although Ive played around with numbers and as yet have never come up with a calculation that fits this next number in with the other numbers IҒve found, I still think a thing called Precession of the Earthђ has some part to play in all this. For those of you who havent come across Precession before, IҒll try and explain:

What is Precession?

The Earths axis sits I believe at 24 degrees from upright, so using a clock face as an example; the number 3 is 90 degrees from 12, so therefore halfway between 1 and 2 is 45 degrees, and the number 24 that were looking for is about halfway between there and 12. Take a pencil pointing upwards at 12 oҒclock and hold it with your thumb and index finger about halfway down its length. Now place the tip of your other index finger on the pencils tip and move it from 12, to roughly the point of 24 degrees and keep it there; dont take your finger off just yet though. Ok, thatҒs the Earths current axis.

Now move your index finger thatҒs on the tip of the pencil in a flat circle; by flat I mean keep it on a horizontal plane. Do you see the other end of the pencil drawing the same circle below your hand thats holding the pencil?

ThatҒs how Precession works! The Earth is pulled and pushed by the Sun and Moons gravities, and its axis performs this circular motion

But it takes the Earth 25,776 years to complete that circle.

What caused Precession?

I once read a theory called ґThe Vega theory, which went on to explain that the star called Vega exploded in a supernova and a piece of that nearby star flew through our Solar system. The theory explained its trajectory and how it affected many of the planets in the Solar system as it passed through, using mathematics to confirm the star parts path, cause and effect. It explained that from all of the planets having upright axes, some were moved by its gravitational pull, to be left in the positions we know today, and in our own case, the Earth went from having a dead upright axis, to the 24 degree one it has today. This would have meant that before this happened; the Earth would have had a temperate climate right across the globe, which in my mind seems to explain the ґGarden of Eden effect thatҒs spoken of in the Bibles Old Testament. Once the Earth went onto its present non upright axis, the days of seasons was born which we all know, see and feel today.

Continuing on from this, I wonder if perhaps that piece of the Vega star that passed through the Solar system isnҒt in fact on its own orbital path, and just maybe on the anniversary of the 25,776 year cycle, it returns, to once again wreak havoc amongst the heavenly bodies that surround us. This is my own theory. Another part of what I read in The Vega theoryђ is that during its fly by Earth, the piece of Vega passed close enough to Earth; in fact even closer than the moon is to us today, and as such, it caused the worlds oceans to move towards it as it did so. What this meant was that the gravitational pull of the passing star piece not only put ours and other planets around us off their axes, it sucked the water on Earth towards it as it passed, but that isnt the whole story by far. As the piece moved away from Earth, its gravitational pull lessened and the consequence of this was that all the water it had attracted to it, came cascading south, back towards its original place. In my mind this means that when water rushed back into the Mediterranean, it wasnҒt able to settle to a normal level until all the rest of the worlds oceans had first done so, and this would have meant great floods would have swept across many parts of the Mediterranean basin, including of course, those parts of the Middle East that so many of the Bible stories come from. So my friends I ask you this; could this have been the cause of the flood stories that feature in both the Bible and the Koran?

In the Chinese astrology chart of the article above Roeland de Loof mentions Waterђ being the strongest element, so I ask you could Vega be the cause of those floods?ђ It also mentions Yang Fireђ and a meteorite falling in the oceanђ, which again I feel could be the returning Vega, although maybe not falling into, but perhaps just affecting the oceans greatly, or both!

Either way, or whatever comes our way, we must not panic, for as Rachel (Zerozero) points out, Lets face it ,the planet will do wot the planet will do ,even if we all gave up breaking wind and driving cars tomorrow ....just wish the animals would survive ,they ,at least, are innocent .ђ

Yeah, whatever happens will happen hun, and I totally agree that I hope the animals survive, which Im sure, some will, because even we are animals, and even some of us are innocent ones at that.

IҒve spoken about this time with Chris in moons past, and it has always been my opinion that some humans will survive; it has also been my opinion that this is a natural way of thinning the polluted energyђ mentioned by Roeland, because in my mind, there has been over the years, especially more recent ones, a real trend towards an uncaring, unfeeling, self centred consciousness throughout man. I also feel that those more in touch with the collective consciousness that does try to live a life of Love, Peace and Harmony, will find a way, or ways to see their way through whatever this date in 2012 throws at us, along with any other ones that come up.

In essence I believe that all this was meant to be a way of returning man back onto his original path; one that sees him as part of life, rather than being a part, and probably the greater part of destroying it. What goes around comes around as they say. Trust what I term as my Holy Trinity, that of Love, Peace and Harmony (or Tranquility) and Im sure that with the help, love and support of Loving Human Beings, as Brothers in Arms, meaning linked arms rather than carrying weapons, we will find a way҅.
