Just popped over for another listen of "Close to Me" ... there's a lot more to this track than a `first listen` would generally open up ... a lot of work is obvious!
WOW Tony, I think the production standards on "Close to Me" are very high indeed, and there's something else ... a HUGE dynamic range - absolutely love this!
Even though there's old skool vibes throughout this track, you've made it sound fresh and up-to-date, and it has something missing from most of todays modern productions - its that `feel good` as well as head nodding, foot tapping happy vibe ... me likes!
You say it needs a little fine tuning in the EQ department, though I'm finding the sound overall well balanced. The reverb has added depth to the sound stage as well as a lot of interest.
Mids are smooth, highs sparkle and lows kick butt (just listened on a big system) ... btw I can hear many classic Yamaha sounds, though they're too clean to be the originals?
Anyway bro, top draw track in my book that would work well with a visual too - well my minds eye had fun
